| Portugal is located on the southwestern tip of Europe. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the West and South with Spain along the North & Eastern borders. The Islands of Azores and Madeira are also a part of Portugal. Portela Promotions is located in the historic medieval town of Gois. Its history can be traced back over 800 years. The University City of Coimbra with its Roman, Medieval, Renaissance; Arab, Jewish and Christian architecture, is a 45 minute drive away. To the wide sandy beaches of Fiquiera da Foz it is an hour's drive. The highest mountain range in Portugal, the Serra da Estrela, now popular for winter skiing, is a two hour drive away. |
| The numerous monasteries, convents, castles and churches stand witness to the artistic and historical heritage of this Beiras Region in Central Portugal. Close to Coimbra, the Spa Towns of Luso and Curia are renowned for the healing qualities of their natural spring and fountain waters. August each year, one of Portugal's biggest Motorbike Festas is held in Gois, attracting bikers from all over Europe. |
