This region of Central Portugal has some of the most
beautiful crystal clear waters in Europe. All kinds of
fly-fishing can be done, dry, nymph, wet, streamer. The
river insects are in abudance, and there is a large variety
of them. We have found the best months for Trout and Barbel
to be June, July, October, November. Although the fishing
season effectively runs from 1st March to 31st August, in
designated areas Concessions can be obtained for outside
seasonal fishing.

Mayflys (18 to 20) small nymphs (14 to 20 - micronymphs
